DIETI Library Closure Notice

Please be advised, that the DIETI Library will be closed on Monday, January 20, 2025.

Notice to all interested parties: IEEE - access suspended from January 15, 2025

Yesterday, January 9, 2025, the University CAB informed us that it is communicated that, due to the protracted negotiations between CARE/CRUI and the publisher, access to IEEE will be suspended starting January 15.

IEEE has not deemed it appropriate to proceed with an extension.

Starting January 1, the continuation of the workflow for publication in OA is not expected.

Dedicated Workstation with Planetary Scanner

Thanks to the SINAPSI Center, a workstation equipped with a planetary scanner has been activated in the DIETI Library to allow students with disabilities and with SLD to autonomously reproduce the digital versions of documents and magazines and anything that may be useful to them to support their course of study.

AEIT Seminars and Consultation of the AEIT magazine

Following the application of the University of Naples Federico II to join the AEIT - Italian Association of Electrotechnics, Electronics, Automation, Information Technology and Telecommunications, by the President of the Naples Section, prof. Mario Pagano of the DIETI Department, various services have been made available for teachers and students. Among these services offered we mention the online consultation of the magazine of the AEIT Association, participation in Seminars/Webinars, the credentials for accessing the Standards and the link to connect with the companies.

Access to the DIETI Library Study Room with Google Form

From 24 October 2022, a new method of recording data for access to the study room of the DIETI library has been active.
By framing the QRcode available on the desk in the hall, you will arrive at a google form on which you will have to enter only Surname Name and Serial Number, send and you will be able to access the Study Room Library.

 

DIETI Library Opening Hours

The DIETI library, unless otherwise provided for which we will notify, for the provision of its Information and Orientation services to the services provided by the DIETI library, Bibliographic consultancy, Resource recovery, Loan, Consultation, Reading/Study room DIETI Library, adopts the following calendar:

• Monday from 8.20 am to 4.50 pm
• Tuesday 8.20 am to 4.50 pm 
• Wednesday 8.20 am to 2.30 pm
• Thursday from 8.20 a.m. to 2.30 pm 
• Friday from 8.20 am to 2:30 pm

UNINA transformative Contracts

The national CARE/CRUI negotiation is negotiating with the major international publishers a new type of so-called "transformative" agreements which provide for the authors of the institutions that adhere to these contracts also the possibility of publishing Open Access WITHOUT additional costs for the author affiliated with the institution since these expenses are already included in the cost of the contract and are therefore incurred upstream by the respective universities.

All those who have an institutional relationship with Federico II and who are authorized to upload to IRIS, therefore also doctoral students, are considered affiliated authors.

Starting from July 2020, the first transformative agreements were defined.

Guides for Bibliographic Research

To help users, especially students, the CAB, Centro di Ateneo per le Biblioteche, has prepared a series of video tutorials on bibliographic research, on the use of the various tools made available for research and on how to connect from home to consult electronic resources.
These are short films (maximum three minutes) designed as guides to provide quick information and support, a sort of first literacy.
