Use of the Library Study Room
PhD students, like students, can access the library's study room and take advantage of the individual study stations available, obviously during the library's opening hours. To access you need to register.
Paper Monography Loan - Paper Magazine Consultation
PhD students can borrow the monographs available in the library, for 1 year if they have "Prestabile" status or 15 days if they have "Prestito breve" status because they are texts used in teaching and therefore frequently used for students. The maximum number of monographs that can be borrowed is a maximum of 5 volumes.
The loan is personal and cannot be transferred to others until the material has been returned and taken over by others.
For the articles in printed journals available in the library, the PhD students can come to pick them up to scan the article or they can send a request with bibliographic references (author, article title, magazine, year, volume, issue) by email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to request the scanning and sending of the pdf file of the article of interest. In compliance with copyright law, after receiving the file, the doctoral student is required to print the copy and delete the file received from his device.
Support in Bibliographical Research
PhD students can contact the library staff to request which tools to use in the bibliographic research, both for the paper and online resources available in the University and how to use the online resources also from home by setting the proxy server, and more, in order to optimize the recovery of bibliographic material.
Recovery of Papers in Journals or Chapters of Monograph (Document Delivery)
If during the bibliographic research phase, articles presented in magazines, or chapters of books not available in the University are useful, you can ask the library staff to retrieve it from other libraries of the NILDE circuit, which have it available. Research in the Archive of Federico II University Doctoral Theses
University of Naples archives and makes available the full text of the doctoral theses, thanks to the University Center for Libraries that manages FedOA - Open Archive.
Electronic Resources available in the University Digital Library
The DIETI library is part of the University Library System coordinated by the CAB which manages all electronic resources (electronic periodicals, ebooks, technical standards, full-text databases, citational databases) paid for by the University and searchable in the Digital Library of Ateneo.
Doctoral students can access it from any IP unina or even from external positions by setting the proxy server.
